Windows Insiders Can Launch Cloud Streaming Games Using Game Bar

Thanks to a new Windows Insiders Update, Windows Insiders can now launch cloud streaming games from the Xbox Game Bar when a controller is connected.

As the title suggests, the feature is presently only available to Windows Insiders. You can watch the entire walkthrough of the process in a Tweet shared by the Windows Insider Program,

To trigger the Xbox Game Bar you can either press the Xbox button on the connected controller or use the keyboard shortcut Win + G. At the time of writing this article, the entire process is not completely seamless. When you launch a game using the Game Bar the Xbox PC App launches.

Next, you have to select and press Play to launch the game. Some other useful features that will be added to the Game Bar in the future are noise suppression for party chat, auto HDR settings, improved child safety features, and much more. All these new features were shared in a live stream by the developers.

Clearly, Microsoft’s long-term strategy is to make gaming more enjoyable for the millions of PC gamers out there.
