Windows 11 22H2 Update Offers Full-Screen Widgets To All PCs

With the latest Windows 11 22H2 Update, Microsoft is bringing full-screen widgets to all PCs. With the latest update, users will now have access to full-screen widgets mode. As a result, users will now be able to check out all of their widgets at a glance.

The full-screen widgets in Windows 11 resemble the Windows Live Tiles that we had in Windows 10. These widgets are live, updated on a regular basis, and you can interact with them to gather more information.

The full-screen widgets board can be accessed from the taskbar and it opens on the left side of the screen by default. To make it go full-screen simply press the new “Expand” button to the top right of the widgets board.

If you want to check out the full-screen widgets mode ensure that you have the Windows 11 22H2 Update installed on your PC. Next, open the Microsoft Store and install the new Windows Web Experience Pack (423.2300.0.0).

Clearly, full-screen widgets in Windows 11 is a step in the right direction. However, it’s still not as easy to access as the gadgets that we had in Windows Vista. For those unaware, Windows Vista allowed users to place active gadgets on the desktop.

Third-Party Widgets For Windows 11

Windows 11 Widgets are not as successful as Microsoft wanted them to be. Luckily that might change with the introduction of third-party widgets.

At the time of writing this article, Facebook has already introduced a Messenger widget to view Messenger conversations directly in the Widgets board.

The Messenger widget is based on the Windows App SDK 1.2, and users can utilize it to reply and to view unread messages.
